In a desperate attempt to escape the house’s growing madness, Daniel uncovers the truth buried deep below — a truth that hungers.

Daniel tore up the cellar floor with bare hands, driven by a force he didn’t understand.

Beneath the rotting boards, he found ancient stones — not foundations, but an altar.
Carved into it were symbols older than the town itself, looping and writhing in patterns that hurt to look at.

The air grew thick.
Breathing felt like swallowing smoke.

Behind him, footsteps — slow, deliberate.

He turned.

The woman from his dreams stood there, veil of thorns bleeding into her face.
This time, he heard her:

"You were promised."

The walls of the house cracked open, spilling roots thick as serpents, writhing toward him.
He tried to run, but the house folded in on itself, a living thing pulling him down into its core.

The last thing Daniel saw was the altar — and the thing that slept beneath it, stirring after decades of hunger.

Somewhere in Wren Hollow, the mist thickened.

And the house waited...
for the next invitation to be sent.
